To that end, there are some menus nested in menus I could probably live without.

It's quirky to me, but I suspect that's because I'm a PC guy and this feels like a near direct port from a Mac. It actually stomps the old Adobe Photoshop Touch (which had fallen far behind but still had one of the best extraction tools on iOS) and pretty much every other serious photo editing app I've had. This app is the most powerful photo editor I've used on iOS. I figure at least a few of you are probably creative types outside of music as well, and you might be interested. And if someone does purchase from apple store - every application purchased from there only works on mac, so it's hardly a surprise. This is not about any music app, but I thought I'd share it here anyway. Where did you buy it then? Affinity website just links you to apple store when you want to purchase a mac version from them. I didn't say I purchased from the Mac App Store You can sometimes "crossgrade" your license, but that usually can only be done once (and even that option wasn't available back when I switched, in early 2000s) "Office for mac" is clearly labelled, but the other one isn't labelled as "Office only for Windows" - you still need to read the eula or do some reaserch to know that )Īre you sure? :P I don't have a licence for CS6 so I'm not 100% sure about that version (although Adobe forums seem to agree with me), but the keys for CS5 and earlier were 100% one-system-only - I know I had to buy it again when switching from Windows to Mac. "Microsoft Office" and "Office for Mac" are clearly labeled and marketed as separate.

What I’m saying is, I feel your pain, I too wanted to move it between Mac and PC, but I also totally think it’s fine, morally, and still represents a good value proposition - to which there ARE other free alternatives if cost is your main issue. well, it’s the price it is, it’s reasonable and I think if you brought the wrong thing or your circumstances changed, that’s down to you and not a stick you can use to beat them with :S You could always buy some old version of serif draw on both for your money or use gimp, but you prefer Affinity. They need to make money from it to keep getting better and to be seen as a premium choice along side rivals.

£50 might seem like a lot to you, but it’s a professional tool and like it or not, you COULD use it to make a lot of money. I still think at like £80 for both or indeed I got four licences as I got photo and designer that I still get better value over its lifespan than I would out of CC, so I’m not worried.

I got it for Mac and PC, I tweeted them and asked before hand, they were clear with me that I couldn’t transfer a licence between the two. Vimeo Affinity Vimeo Affinity Photo Vimeo Channel Affinity Designer Vimeo Channel
